Batman: Bad Seeds - Streets of Gotham

When disaster strikes, not all of Gotham’s heroes wear capes! As the chaos of Bad Seeds erupts across the city, everyday people must rise to the occasion to protect their fellow citizens. Gotham City’s new mayor, Pamela Isley, makes a last-ditch power play that will leave Gotham decimated by daylight! In this companion volume to Batman: Bad Seeds, witness how the staff of Gotham General, the GCPD, and beyond react to the widespread terror caused by Poison Ivy’s superbloom. Writer Greg Rucka (Batwoman) and artist Rosa Ekedal take you inside Gotham City’s tier-one trauma center, Gotham General. Power is out, fires are burning, transpo is shot, and the calls just keep coming. There are more patients than beds, half presenting with respiratory complications, the other half suffering hallucinogenic psychotic episodes. No capes, no costumes, and don’t call them heroes—this is their job. Over at the GCPD, writer Christopher Cantwell (co-creator of the TV series Halt and Catch Fire) and artist Jacob Phillips (The Peril of the Brutal Dark: An Ezra Cain Mystery) tell the story of a decimated police force amid unprecedented turmoil as the only good cops left in Gotham City face what might be their last stand. Plus, Eisner Award-winning writers Matt Fraction (Batman, Hawkeye) and Mariko Tamaki (Laura Dean Keeps Breaking Up with Me, Zatanna: Bring Down the House) are joined by a host of superstar artists to tell six street-level tales of fear, courage, and perseverance, starring everyday people who must learn what it means to be a hero.
