22 Cells in Nuremberg: In the Nazi Mind

“WHY MY FATHER’S BOOK STILL MATTERS? BECAUSE HISTORY CAN REPEAT ITSELF” — Douglas M. Kelley, Jr. WHAT KIND OF MEN WERE THESE NAZI OVERLORDS? HOW DID THEY BECOME MONSTERS? WHY DID AN ENTIRE NATION EMBRACE EVIL? In the 22 cells of Nuremberg Prison, the architects of the Holocaust waited for their fate. Only one man walked freely among them: American psychiatrist Dr. Douglas M. Kelley. Through months of raw psychological interviews, he uncovered a truth more terrifying than madness: these were not demons. They were ordinary, brilliant, ambitious men who had willingly sold their souls to evil. Hitler was not in a cell — but his spirit haunted every single one. This is how Kelley reconstructed the inner personality and hidden world of Adolf Hitler himself. “ONE OF THE THREE OR FOUR MOST IMPORTANT BOOKS EVER PUBLISHED ON WORLD WAR II” — Lewis M.
